2026 Crescent Regatta

Crescent 2026 Annual Regatta August 22nd

The Annual Crescent Regatta is on August 22nd and is a great time for any and all boats to come out of their wet and dry mooring hibernation and be used in the fun of a regatta! Guest registration for CSYC boats will be open for anyone interested in participating, even if for the first time on a race course through the following link. Guest Boat Registration    Boats must be registered by Wednesday Night, 8/19 in order to be eligible but load up your boat with snacks and bring the family along for a galavant around the lake on Saturday 8/22!

PC Fred Rozelle is the race chairman again this year and will be managing the racing along with PC Leigh Savage . We are bringing back the W/L course, but will be on Friday night for One Design Fleets. We will try to run 2 races and be back to the dock before dark. (Flying Scot, Cal25, Nonsuch, etc.

Saturday 8/22 will be our standard triangle course which starts and finishes from the CSYC break wall. Even if you aren't planning on sailing come down and watch the action!

This years Regatta after-party will include a mix of Summer and Michigan related options. Tickets can be purchased with the following link.  Dinner Tickets

2 Hot dogs

1 Fago Soda or Water

1 Bag of Better Made Potato Chips

1 Trip to the Cotton Candy Machine

1 Trip to the Popcorn Stand

1 Selection from the Ice Cream Stand

So make sure to bring your family and kids down and join us under the big top for food, lawn games, and a healthy dose of "woulda, coulda, shoulda" Yachty Karate style that we all know so well after a day of racing.

Support: If you have some lawn games or activities please plan to bring them down and share the fun of summer with others. There will also be light open bar options as usual but feel free to BYOB and consume responsibility.

Volunteer: If you are available to help set up, run a Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Ice Cream cart, grill, take dinner tickets, monitor trash cans, and everything else that helps the regatta go smoothly please reach out so we can make a plan for what areas are covered and where we need to get some extra help.

 Regatta Day Parking:

The parking lot will fill up and we expect cars to be double parked. Please remind your crew that street parking is available and expected for non members. Parking will be permitted along the curb of the northbound Lakeshore Drive.

If you do end up double parking, plan to make arrangements so the inner car can still leave or park on the street if you dont feel comfortable leaving your car open.

The lot will be striped so please keep within the lines to maximize our use of space.

If your crew / guests plan to stay past 830pm please have them move their car into the lot from the street at that time. If you do not want to be double parked in or double park, street parking is the best option for you.

As always, we need volunteers for various things on Regatta Day so let Ross Nuechterlein know if you would like to help!
