ILCA / Laser Frostbiting starts the 2nd Sunday in October and runs to the weekend after Thanksgiving or further if weather permits. We may, or may not, have race committee on a normal frostbite Sunday. If we do no, we will likely do Rabbit Starts (definition below)

How a Rabbit Start Works
- The Rabbit: One designated boat (the "rabbit") sails upwind on a close-hauled port tack along an imaginary starting line.
- The Fleet: All other competing boats wait on starboard tack.
- Crossing: As the rabbit moves past, each boat in the fleet ducks behind the rabbit's stern one by one.
- Starting: A boat officially starts the moment it crosses behind the rabbit's stern

Report from last season:
The group decided to sail Saturday, Nov 8, instead of our usual Sunday. Good thing as it snowed hard Sunday!. We had 5 Lasers out! The water temp has dropped below 50 so some had drysuits. In the full rig was Tom Dawson and John Morealle. Radials were Em Dolson, Grace Pytell-Lockhart, and Ken Swetka.
If anyone is interested in following we use a WhatsApp group. Let us know if you want to join or just follow along. If anyone wants to come out in a workboat to run races or just for safety we would welcome that too!
