George S. Hendrie Jr.regatta

Dear Crescent Family,

This year on Labor Day, September 2, 2024 we will be starting the First Annual George Hendrie, Memorial Regatta. All boats are welcome to sail in this FUN event. If you dont have crew come on down and jump on someone elses boat.

Registration is a must for all competitors from 0900-1000 am on the east side of the clubhouse so that you are guaranteed to be scored in the Portsmouth Rating System.

Skippers Meeting at 1000 on the east lawn of the clubhouse where Ron Sherry and VC Rob Wood will explain the course. We try to arrange the course in a large triangle, so the fast boats take one hour to complete the race. 

Start of the Race will be as soon as all the boats are out, usually around 1100. Yes all boats will start at the same time on the start/finish line just off of the east seawall.

Refreshments will be served on the racecourse weather permitting. Lifejackets are recommended for participants. Barbecue at the Tiki bar after racing while scores are tallied.
