Crescent's Annual Junior Regatta July 23-24

We are approaching our CSYC Junior Regatta for 2025 and are looking to fill some positions around the event. If you have availability during the day on Wednesday July 23rd or Thursday July 24th to support one or both days for the areas below please reach out to either me or our Junior Director at CSYCJuniorSailing@gmail.com These are great ways to catch up on some work hours for those who need some too!
Areas that we could use a hand:
Opti RWB Race Committee Boat:
- We have the person to run races (PRO) but could use you and your boat as a platform to run them from. All you need to do is be there to drive out and back. ~30-45 foot sailboats are perfect for this! ;-)
420 / Laser Race Committee Boat:
- We have the person to run races (PRO) but could use you and your boat as a platform to run them from. All you need to do is be there to drive out and back. ~30-45 foot sailboats are perfect for this! ;-)
Support boats:
Do you have a personal powerboat and would consider moving marks around for the regatta?
We could use a mark boat for the following courses' and you can leave it overnight at the club while supporting the regatta.
- Opti Green
- Opti RWB
- 420/Laser
Launch Ramp's and Hoists:
We could use a few hands when the boats go out and when the boats come back in to help the kids get in/out of their boats and get their dolly. It would also be helpful to have some general CSYC knowledge keeping an eye on anyone trying to launch boats with the hoist or wet launch ramp as guides.
Green/ RWB / and the 420-Laser courses
- All could use a few people to go out and help as Race Committee staff. This includes raising and lowering flags as directed, writing down sail numbers as boats finish, checking in sailors so we know when they are on and going off the race course for the day.
General Auxiliary support:
Could use a few people to oversee some miscellaneous tasks. (examples, pick up water, the pizza, the RC lunches, set out the awards so they are ready and a few others) Just general tasks during the day that would really smooth things out if you can take one on.
